Stranding, Armouring, Drum Twister Machinery
Cable or Rope can be twisted into a composite form compromising of a number of individual elements. The individual cables are twisted together using Stranding Machinery which can be in a Double Twist, Single Drum, Drum Twist, Tubular, Planetary or Rigid Format.
To make complete cable or ropes easier to handle, add strength and hold in place without detriment to product flexibility the process of twisting is used. The twisting is carried out with accurate control of the lay of the twist.
For small products double twist bunchers are used, which are fast but can be less precise as single twist, tubular stranders, planetary and rigid stranders and drum twisters. The choice is dependant on product size and drum spool or reel size required to be used in the machine.
