Caterpuller and Capstan Machinery - Haul Off
A fundemental part of a Cable Extrusion or Cable Stranding Line to provide the pulling force to move the Cable through the Extrusion Line or Stranding Line at the required operational speed.
The pulling force is provided by either a capstan wheel for small cable and wires with multiple wraps to prevent slip or for larger cables a caterpillar is used which is effectively two caterpillar tracks pressed together to grip the product and driven to either push or pull.
